Book Review: MASQUERADE by Rachel Morgan

Title: Masquerade
Series: Creepy Hollow #4
Author: Rachel Morgan
Format: Kindle Edition
Source: Purchased
Genre: YA Paranormal

Betrayed by the guy who supposedly loved her, Violet deals with her anger and hurt by teaming up with her archrival Ryn to help him find his missing sister. Hanging out with Ryn isn’t high on Vi’s list of things to do, but she kind of owes him after he inconveniently saved her life recently. As the two of them struggle to put their differences aside, they find themselves drawn into a plot much greater than a single missing child. A plot with Violet herself at the center.

Review: The next installment to the Creepy Hollow series, Rachel Morgan’s Masquerade not only fills in the pieces of what has gone before the series, but it excites with adventure, heart break, and possible friendship.

Violet’s boyfriend betrayed her, and she decides to forget her feelings toward him. While her friend creates the potion, her enemy Ryn not only saves her life but asks for her help in finding his sister. Vi wants to ignore his request, but she can’t. As Vi and Ryn work together to find his sister, everything becomes more dangerous and deadly as they learn about a devious plot against the fae.

Masquerade picks up right where Traitor left off. As the fourth installment to the series, it was great to get back to the fantastic characters Morgan has created. The plot is fast-paced and thrilling. In this book, the reader discovers what caused the animosity between Vi and Ryn as well as the brewing plot against the fae. The emotions and action tug the reader further into the story, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next.

Masquerade by Rachel Morgan is YA Paranormal at its best and Creepy Hollow is such a fun series.

Five Bookworms = I loved it!
